Midwest Air Technologies To Occupy 225,000-Square-Foot Warehouse At Crossroads Expansion
SAVANNAH, GA. – Midwest Air Technologies, a leading international manufacturer, has officially signed a seven-year lease with North Point Real Estate to occupy a 225,000-square-foot warehouse facility at Crossroads Expansion, located just off the Jimmy Deloach Parkway. The warehouse, which is currently under construction, is the company’s first facility in the Savannah area.
Developer North Point Real Estate owns the building and brokered the deal in conjunction with Blaine Kelley of CB Richard Ellis in Atlanta. The warehouse’s strategic location offers easy access to the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, the Port of Savannah and I-95, which has made the site attractive for many companies.
“This announcement is great news for Savannah,” said Wrenn Blalock, a principal at North Point Real Estate. “We’re delighted that Midwest Air Technologies chose the Crossroads Expansion site as the ideal place to put down roots in Savannah.”
Midwest Air Technologies, which is headquartered in Lincolnshire, Ill. and has operations centers across Europe and Asia, plans to move into the building in June of 2007. The company specializes in the manufacturing and marketing of quality fencing, lawn and garden items, automobile parts and power equipment.
Crossroads Business Center and the adjacent Crossroads Expansion site are home to more than five million square feet of industrial space, headquarters operations and Savannah Technical College’s newest campus. Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Pier 1 all have major distribution centers at this popular 1,700-acre mixed-use business park.
